World Barefoot Center on Upcoming PBS Show

The World Barefoot Center will be featured on Growing Bolder TV, which is broadcast on over 250 PBS stations nationwide. Watch for an upcoming announcement on the date and time.  Growing Bolder is about folks who break the boundaries of what it means to grow older, and it’s reflected in their motto:  “It’s not about age, it’s about attitude.”

From the Growing Bolder site:

GROWING BOLDER delivers empowering stories that inspire audiences of all ages to believe that it’s never too late to achieve their dreams. It features stories of masters athletes, cancer survivors, musicians, health experts, entrepreneurs and more.   Marc Middleton, President and CEO of Bolder Media Group says, “We believe that this show is a reflection of what’s happening in the world – these days, you don’t have to stop living at any age. You can start a new career, overcome illness and disease, pursue a fitness goal and smash all the existing stereotypes of age. Producing the show is easy, because we’re just telling the stories of thousands of men and women who are Growing Bolder.”

Bill Shafer, Executive Vice President of Bolder Media Group and camerman, Jason Morrow joined Keith St. Onge, Judy Myers and Karen Putz in the boat on February 24. Bill captured the story of how Karen met Judy and returned to barefoot water skiing after becoming deaf from a barefooting fall as a teen.  You can read more about the filming at Karen Putz’s blog:  Karen and Judy’s Story:  Growing Bolder on PBS.
