That was when I realized that everything would have to change. I was crushed knowing that I would not be able to do any sort of skiing for the entire summer… But I don’t want to get ahead of myself.

One of my many ways of staying in shape for water skiing is cheerleading for Bradley University. At one of our practices, at the beginning of June, something went a little weird and I ended up with a broken nose. The first thing that went through my head was, this is going to make backdeeps a little uncomfortable.

It wasn’t til later talking to another doctor that I was informed that I would not be allowed to do any sort of contact sport for a little over 5 weeks. That was when I realized that everything would have to change. I was crushed knowing that I would not be able to do any sort of skiing for the entire summer. So I did the only thing I could do. I waited.

When my 5 weeks were up, The first thing I did was get the boat out and get back on the water. The one thing that I took away from the whole summer was that you should never take for granted the good things in life. One of which is getting a nice foot-massage at 45 mph.
