Day 5 the afternoon session!

Only Jesus and Barefooters Walk on Water!

Youth Pastor Dan Boeck has been down the the World Barefoot Center Ski School in Winter Haven, Florida a couple times.  This summer we were in Pastor Dan’s home state of Iowa doing a barefoot clinic.  Pastor Dan decided to bring a a group of kids to the barefoot clinic in Waterloo, IA.  It was a hot hot day, perfect barefooting weather.

Dan’s Daughter Bethany Boeck, Roman Chrischilles, Josh Anderson, Zach Lukkes, and Mitchell Martin all joined in the fun.  Even though the boys thought it was more entertaining to take a fall each and every one of them got up barefooting in an afternoon!  Sweet job! Checkout the shots we took that day!

Thank you for coming over and joining in on the clinic.  We enjoyed our time and look forward to seeing you soon! Follow our tour on Facebook! Anytime Fitness National Barefoot Tour!

Show Skiers Go Barefoot

Thursday, July 14th, 2011

Day 2 with the WaterHawks Water Ski Show Team, at Eagle Lake.

It was a windy morning but that didn’t stop us!  The cool breeze was a nice change from yesterdays high heat.  These footers are signed up for the entire day, that means each person skied two sets in the morning and two sets in the afternoon.  Lets checkout what they learned.

First up Tyler Schuman from Minnesota.  Tyler worked on his front one foot one hand trick and then moved on to backwards deep starts.  In the past couple years Tyler has played with backdeeps but couldn’t figure out what was going wrong.  Today KSO figured it out and had Tyler try it out on the WBC trainers.

One Foot One Hand!Barefoot Backwards!

Just last night we heard a story from Ryan Corkery about why he joined the WaterHawks Ski Show Team.  Ryan had come to a show 2 years ago and saw Keith St. Onge Barefoot in the show and from that day Ryan knew he had to learn to barefoot waterski.  A week after Keith left town Ryan became a member of the ski team. Inspiring! Now Ryan is doing his deepwater start, tumble turns and one foots a lot more easily, its amazing was a few tips can lead do.  Ryan worked on back deepwater starts too.

Ohhh Yeah! One Foot

Planting for a Backdeep

Chloe Lawson is tough!  After taking a year off from skiing due to a broken leg she is back at it once again, we applaude her for that!  Chloe has a natural great forward gliding position.  In the afternoon Chole worked on her back deep water starts.

All around fantastic show skier Jordan Kintzle came out for the day.  Jordan learned a front deepwater start, working on getting a cleaner front one foot and is starting to glide perfectly on his feet backwards!

Nice Posture and Glide

Body Slide!

The WaterHawks show director Melanie Kintzle learned about the three point stance and standing up over her feet.  Once Melanie go the hang of it she was deeping up much smoother than before.  Those beach starts in the show will be much easier:)  Like many people Melanie was a little nervous to try a back deep, we assured her that you can breathe while dragging backwards.  After some encouragement Melanie was gliding backwards with ease.

Deep Water Start

Nice Barefoot Form!

Thank you all for skiing with us! We had a wonderful boat crew and it was very enjoyable! Remember we sell ALL your barefoot gear from wetsuits, to booms. We hope to see you in Florida at the World Barefoot Center.

John Deere -PrivateTour!

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

After a few days on the water I asked a couple members of the show team about taking a tour of John Deere.  John Deere was founded in Moline, IL so why not check it out while here.  I knew Keith Berger mentioned he worked for Deere so I asked him was he recommended.  He told me he had tomorrow off and would take us on a personal tour.  Sounds good to us!  Keith brought us to the Davenport assembly line plant and explained everything!  We even got to put on a few lug nuts that were the size of my fist!  He than brought us over to his office, which was the Training Facility.  Keith trains people how to use the new equipment and we got the best treat of all.  He let us drive a massive Forwarder.  A Forwarder is like a huge cherry picker.  It felt like we were in a monster truck but it ran so smoothly!  The controls where set up like playing a video game but without a steering wheel.  Small joy sticks were used to steer this beast!

We then went to the rusty palace as the employers call John Deere headquarters.  From a far the building looks great but all the steel has rusted over the years, which acts as a sealant once rusted.  We were able to see the history of John Deere and how it all got started.  Very interesting and a huge thank you to Keith Berger for taking the time to show us around!  We will never forget it!

Bath Time, for the Anytime Fitness National Barefoot Tour Bus!

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

It was HOT!  What better to do in the afternoon than to give the RV a little scrub down.  Just before we left Spencer, Mass we put in a little bit of elbow grease into the tour bus.

We waved goodbye from a sqeaky clean rig!
